1. How can the subscriber know the balance at credit of his account?

  • Every year during last week of July, Annual account Statements are dispatched to all Drawing and Disbursing Officers for handing them over to the subscribers.

  • Any time during the year, the subscriber can know balance in his account through Interactive Voice Response System dialing the number 040-23231212

  1. What action is required to be taken by the subscriber in case of any missing credits/ debits in his GPF account?

  • The subscriber has to furnish details of recovery of subscription / withdrawals through his DDO/ Treasury Officer.  In case the subscriber is on foreign service, challan number through which subscription was remitted to GPF should also be indicated.

  1. What is the procedure for continuing GPF subscription while on foreign service?

  • A subscriber who proceeds on foreign service should subscribe to GPF by remitting the amounts through challans to GPF under sub account relevant to his parent department.

  1. When can a GPF subscriber withdraw amount under the GPF account?

  • Subscriber can draw

    • temporary advance (not exceeding half of the balance at credit) while in service for the purposes specified under GPF (AP) Rules.

    • Part final withdrawal (not exceeding half of the balance at creditable and ¾) while in service for the purposes under specified GPF (AP) Rules.

    • Final payment of entire balance at credit of the subscriber’s account will be authorized on cessation of duty.

  1. What is the procedure for withdrawing amounts from GPF account?

  • Temporary advances and Part final withdrawals during service can be drawn by application to Drawing and Disbursing Officer.

  • Final payment of entire balance at credit on cessation of duty by final withdrawal application through DDO  to the Principal Accountant General.

  1. How can the subscriber know the status of his final payment application?

  • AG Office on issuing final payment authorization to the Drawing and Disbursing Officer intimates the fact and amount authorized.

  • In case of any delay, the information can be obtained through Interactive Voice Response System dialing phone number 040 23231212

  1. Where from the subscriber can obtain the blank Final withdrawal forms?

  • Subscriber can obtain the final withdrawal forms at any stationery shop where printed government stationery forms are available for sale.
