Shri Arabinda Das is a Bachelor in Commerce from the University of Kolkata. He joined the Indian Audit and Accounts Service in 1995. During his career, he has held various assignments. He was heading the Regional Training Institute, Kolkata as Principal Director for nearly three years. He has worked as Deputy Director in the Office of the Principal Director of Audit, NEF Railways, Guwahati, Deputy Director in the Office of the PDCA&MAB, Ranchi at Durgapur, Director at Office of the PDCA&MAB-II, Kolkata, Sr. Deputy Accountant General (Works /LB) in the Office of the Accountant General (RW&LBA), WB, Kolkata, and also as Sr. DAG (Admin) in the Office of the AG (A&E) Orissa, Bhubaneshwar.

He was nominated for several overseas assignments. He was a member of Audit Team which conducted Financial Audit of UNICEF in New York, USA and United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Madrid, Spain and International Organisation for Migration (IOM) at Geneva, Switzerland and also at Manila, Philippines.
