The expenditure shown in the Appropriation Accounts does not include `2,04,95
thousand met out of advances from the Contingency Fund which were not recouped
to the Fund before the close of the year by authorisation of the Legislature. The
details are given in Appendix-I.
As the grants and appropriations are for gross amounts, the expenditure figures
shown against them do not include recoveries adjusted in the accounts in reduction of
expenditure. The net expenditure figures are shown in the Finance Accounts
2012-2013.
