Augmentation of provision was the net effect of increase of

decrease of

1,11,34.21 lakh. Specific reasons for increase in provision as well as decrease
in provision have not been intimated (August 2013).
(v) Suspense: Mid Day Meal Scheme
In May 1985, Commissioner, Civil Supplies, was authorized to operate PD Account
within the grant for implementation of Mid Day Meal Scheme. The cheques drawn by him
were to be debited to the Suspense head under this Scheme, to be cleared on receipt of
detailed bills from the Commissioner by adjustment to the final head of Account by per
contra credit to Suspense Account.
No amount was drawn from or recouped to the Suspense during 2012-13. The
opening and closing balances at the beginning/ close of the year under Suspense were as
follows:
