(i) As the expenditure fell short of even the original provision, the supplementary
provision of

(ii) The surrender of

In view of the expenditure falling short of even the original provision, obtaining

Reduction in provision was the net effect of decrease of

1,17.18 lakh. Out of the total reduction in provision, decrease of

1,77.87 lakh was stated to
be due to non-filling up of vacancies and non-receipt of requisition fromunit offices and increase
of

71.15 lakh was stated to be due to filling up vacant posts.Specific reasons for remaining
decrease of
`
90.82 lakh as well as remaining increase of
`
46.03 lakh and reasons for final
saving have not been intimated (August 2013).
Similar saving occurred during the years 2010-11 and 2011-12.
