The  Comptroller and Auditor General of India  is the constitutional head of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department and is appointed by the President of India under Article 148 of the Constitution of India.

In Andhra Pradesh the Indian Audit and Accounts Department is represented by the three offices of Accountants General:

  1.  O/o the Principal Accountant General (Civil Audit)

  2.  O/o the Accountant General (Commercial & Receipt Audit)

  3.  O/o the Principal Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlement)
