Shri
V. Ravindran has a Masters degree in Economics from
the Madras Christian College, Chennai. He is a
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) awarded by the
Institute of Internal Auditors, USA, a Certified
Information Systems Auditor (CISA) awarded by the
Information Systems Audit and Controls Association,
USA, and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) awarded by
the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA.
He has two certificates in French awarded by the
Alliance Francaise de Delhi.

He
entered the Indian Audit and Accounts Service in 1983.
During his career, he has held various assignments,
including Accountant General (A&E), Kerala, Principal Director (Direct Taxes) at the
Headquarters office of the Comptroller and Auditor
General of India, Principal Director of Audit (Air
Force and Navy), Accountant General - Nagaland,
Director of Audit - Indian Accounts, Washington DC
USA, Assistant Comptroller and Auditor General at
Headquarters and Principal & Director of the
Regional Training Institute of the Indian Audit and
Accounts Department, Chennai. He has twice led an
external audit team to the United Nations Headquarters
at New York and has been an international trainer at
the Supreme Audit Institution of the Sultanate of Oman
and the Royal Government of Bhutan.

The
Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) plays a
strategic role in account keeping of the Government of
Andhra Pradesh, an essential for good governance in a
democracy. This
office is a service oriented organisation, constantly
endeavouring to enhance the quality of Accounts and the
satisfaction level of its stake holders viz. State
Legislature, State Government, Audit and State Government
employees/ pensioners.
The
core functions performed by this Office are:
