PENSIONS

• Pension group is responsible for verification and authorisation of pensionary benefits of AP State Government Employees, All India Service Officers borne on Andhra Pradesh cadre and the Constitutional authorities such as Hon’ble Judges of A.P. High Court, Members of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Lok Ayukta and A.P. Administrative Tribunal.
• Pension Authorisations are also issued in respect of pensioners of other States residing in A.P State on receipt of special seal authorisations from the concerned Accountants General. Likewise, payment of pensionary benefits to A.P Pensioners residing in other states is arranged through the respective Accountants General.
• Claims for financial assistance of spouses of deceased teachers who retired/died in service between 1.4.61 and 31.3.73 in non-Government schools are finalised under executive orders of A.P Government.
• The Pension Authorisations are issued in respect of Political Pensions for Freedom Fighters, sanctioned by the State Government.
• Time barred pension claims are pre-audited and payments authorized after obtaining administrative sanction of competent authority.
• Functions of pension group include transfer of pension payments within and outside A.P State .
